Ron Barceló is a premium rum producer that was founded 1929 and entirely produced in the Dominican Republic, in line with the designation of origin requirements. Uniquely different because it's made not from molasses, like most rum, but from 100% sugarcane juice that comes from the company’s own plantations in San Pedro de Macorís, and fermented, distilled, and aged in the Dominican Republic. This commitment to quality ensures that only the best and most brilliant sugar cane goes into Barceló Rum.
A special blend of Barceló Imperial’s past reserves, matured in selected cuts of American oak and French oak barrels, both with different grades of toast; subsequently rested in European vats.
Bright coppery brown color. Harmonious hints of creme brulee, caramelized raisins, exquisite dried spices and dried cherries. Smooth entry on the palate with a semi-dry, but fruity body of great depth, evolving layers of nutty spice layers typical of fine European wood. Finishes with a long aftertaste of pepper leaf and elegant tobacco.
