Château Suduiraut , Premier Cru Classé in 1855, in AOC Sauternes, is a promised land of 92 hectares devoted to vines. Adjoining the vineyards of Château d'Yquem, Château Suduiraut is a 17th century property whose gardens were designed by André Le Nôtre. The estate, which borders the top estate of the appellation – Château d'Yquem, has over 90 hectares (220 acres) under vine, on gravelly, sandy soils. As is often the case in top Sauternes estates, harvest is done in "tries" (successive passes through the vineyard) to make sure all the bunches are at optimum levels of botrytis when picked, and only the best botrytis-affected grapes make it into the Château Suduiraut grand vin.
Amazing, intense aromas of honey and crème caramel. Very ripe, very sweet with exotic fruits, mango, crystallized, oranges, ripe nectarines, vanilla, mandarins. Excellent concentration & a creamy texture, very well balanced for such a rich wine. Long luscious finish.
