Dona Antonia Reserva White Port

Ferreira was founded in 1751, by the Ferreira family of Régua, a producer and trader of Port Wines, and it is the only Port Wine company that has always been in Portuguese hands. It grew significantly in the 18th century and invested primarily in high quality wines, buying and cultivating some of the main wine estates in the Douro. This impressive work was continued in the 19th century by Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, a direct descendent of the Ferreira family.

Dona Antónia Tawny is a premium reserve red Porto Wine, created to celebrate the memory of the charismatic lady - Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira - that in the 19th century led and inspired the company to gain its future, confirming the values that would established it as leading quality winemakers and number one brand in Portugal. The selected wines for Dona Antonia Reserva Tawny Port is usually vary between 4 and 12 years of age, achieving an average age of about 7 years.

Golden yellow in color. It has an intense aroma, with notes of bitter marmalade, a floral quality, exotic wood and dried fruits and nuts, with a light, peppery and curry-like spice. The wood ageing adds nobility, complexity and the required richness.
