Il Blu

Brancaia is a Tuscan estate known for its wines from the Chianti Classico zone and from the Maremma region. Has been owned by the Swiss couple Brigitte and Bruno Widmer since 1981. Brancaia is a critically acclaimed producer, known for the high quality of its wines as well as its distinctive modern labels. Both wineries in Chinati and Maremma zone are using gravity-fed processes during the fermentation. 

Since its debut in 1988, IL BLU has been the result of constant pursuit of perfection. It is only pressed from the best, hand-selected grapes from two vineyards in the Chianti region.
The blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in French barriques and then in the bottle for at least another year. With ultra-fine tannins and a smooth and full finish, IL BLU is a full-bodied wine that impresses with its complexity and elegance.

Blackberries, dark cherries, peppermint tea, bark, cassis and pure blackcurrants. A full body, characterized by layered but racy rich blue fruit. Classy and elegant with remarkable finesse and freshness.
