The Gérard Bertrand group is the spearhead of a winegrowing committed to a better future led by its founder, the eponymous winegrower. With the Languedoc's benchmark biodynamic wines, they create great wines that reflect all the nuances of their terroir. Recognized for his great talent as a blender as well as for his audacity and creativity, he and his teams are working to make the wines of southern France shine throughout the world. Gérard Bertrand is one of the great visionaries of the wine world. At the age of 22, he took over his father's vineyard Château de Villemajou and over the past several decades has developed into one of the most important winemakers in France. He has used biodynamic methods in his 16 vineyards in the south of France for many years.

Corbieres-Boutenac is a relatively new red wine appellation of the Languedoc region of southern France. Created in 2005, the title covers a particular area of the Corbieres catchment area long recognized as producing very high-quality wines. It is named after the village of Boutenac, which is located at its center.

The robe is rich and sumptuous. It is aromatically complex with notes of jammy fruit, sweet spices, leather and coffee. The palate is round and sweet with beautiful fruit framed by fine-grained tannins. With such balance, this is a wine with good ageing potential.
