Glenfiddich is a renowned single malt whisky distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. Glenfiddich means "valley of the deer" in Gaelic. The Glenfiddich distillery was founded in 1886 by William Grant. Glenfiddich single malt is one of the most successful and well-known whisky brands in the world. In the 1920s, with prohibition in force in the US, Glenfiddich was one of a very small number of distilleries to increase production. This put them in a strong position to meet the sudden rise in demand for fine aged whiskies that came with the repeal of prohibition.
With the IPA Experiment Whisky, Glenfiddich proves that experiments definitely pay off. An Indian Pale Ale was created especially for this fine drop in collaboration with Seb Jones, a craft beer brewer from Speyside. The craft beer was stored in barrels that were reused for the finishing of the Glenfiddich Experiment. The malt was rested in the IPA casks for three months, allowing the notes of fresh hops to settle into the creation.
Rich golden color. An elegant harmony of fresh green apple, William’s pear and spring blossom. Complimented with aromatic hops and fresh herbs. Vibrant with a zesty citrus note followed by creamy vanilla and a hint of fresh hops. The finish enduring sweetness with an echo of green hops.
