Moillard is a historic Burgundian négociant house located in the Côte d'Or. The domaine is based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, although its 20 hectares (49 acres) of vineyard land spread from the north to the south of the region. Moillard was established by Symphorien Moillard in 1850 and remained in the family until 2008 when it was sold to Vincent Sauvestre.
Pernand-Vergelesses is a commune at the northern end of the Côte de Beaune district in Burgundy. This commune have earned a reputation for slightly "green" flavors. When compared to the more rounded wines of nearby Pommard or Volnay.
Beautiful ruby color. A nose with notes of small red and black fruits (blackcurrant, redcurrant), slightly musky. Vegetal, tannic but fine mouth.
