Telos

Founded in the 1990s, Tokara is a family-run estate with quality at its core. Estate is situated on the Simonsberg side of the Banghoek Valley, at elevations of between 350m and 550m and with breath-taking views across to Table Bay. The estate features award winning architecture with a modern approach to wine making and a terroir ideal for producing world class wines. The soil profiles are of weathered sandstone and decomposed granite, the combination lending structure, perfume and longevity to their wines.

Telos is a flagship of the estate, a Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend with small portions of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It is barrel-aged for 22 months in French oak of which approximately 60 percent are new. The wine is sourced from a single plot of vines on the estate that was planted in 1998. A wine of great precision and intensity from the first taste to the persistent finish. With evident complexity, exceptional balance and a well-defined structure, this is a wine that will reward patient cellaring while offering endless enjoyment now.
