Viña Vik is a Chilean wine producer, located in the Cachapoal Valley. The company was founded in 2004, by Norwegian entrepreneurs Carrie Vik and Alex Vik. Vik vineyards are located amongst the foothills of the Andes mountains and are planted across 12 small valleys creating multiple microclimates and terroirs. 808 acres (327 ha) of company vineyards are grown there to a combination of international grape varieties. Located between the Pacific Ocean and the snow-topped mountains, year-round cool temperatures allows for grapes to ripen whilst retaining acidity levels.

Finesse, elegance, complexity, intensity, length and freshness are the unique characteristics that all together level up to extraordinary. VIK is a remarkable visionary Bordeaux style blend, which stands out for its formidable ability to evolve and move the consumer and ultimately indulge you in pure luxury. It stands out for its enveloping nature and its extraordinary evolution and ageing. Ideal for collectors of great wines.

This wine has a vibrant and deep ruby red color with red fruit notes of strawberries and raspberries which perfectly harmonize with the secondary aromas of the barrel. A balanced, subtle and focused wine, where the attack is silky, fine and with persistent elegantly rounded tannins. Balanced and elegant, the VIK 2012 presents characteristics similar to great Bordeaux wines but is distinctly fresh, fruit-forward, and energetic with its precise and measured tannins. This wine is elegantly structured and voluptuous, providing an exquisite sensation on the palate.
